Job summary

Good Samaritan in Waconia, MN is seeking a part-time cook to prepare and serve meals for patients, residents, and staff. Evening shifts, 24 hours per week, with a focus on food safety and HACCP guidelines.

You will follow standardized recipes, operate kitchen equipment, and collaborate with a caring team in a not-for-profit, Christian environment. High school diploma and basic math skills are preferred; Serv Safe and BLS may be required depending on location; driving may be needed.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and following oral and written directions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• ServSafe may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location.
• Valid Driver's License may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assembles and serves food for patients/residents, staff and visitors.
• Adheres to menu, dietary requirements and HACCP guidelines; ensures sanitation and labeling of food and equipment.
• Operates kitchen equipment and maintains cleanliness of cooking and serving areas.
• Communicates effectively with team members and internal customers to ensure quality service.
