Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read, write and follow oral and written directions; basic math.
• Minimum six months of applicable experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location; additional endorsements may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location.
• May be required to drive; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble baked goods, cook, season and portion food for residents and staff.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safety and sanitation; maintain labeling and storage of food and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, kettles, etc.) and keep areas clean and organized.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with staff and other departments.
