Job summary

Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND is hiring a Cook for the 11:30 am–8:00 pm shift. Starting wage ranges from $21.71 to $25.91 per hour, with benefits including PTO, extended sick leave, health/dental/vision insurance and 401K matching.

The Cook will prepare meals per menu and regulatory standards, under the supervision of the Head Cook and Dining Services leadership. Responsibilities include sanitation, teamwork with Dining Services and other departments, safe chemical handling, serving

Responsibilities

• Comply with sanitation, food handling, standard precautions, infection control, isolation procedures, and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with Dining Services and other departments.
• Use chemicals safely per MSDS instructions.
• Serve food according to the menu, diet requirements, portion control, and residents' preferences.
• Assist residents with menu choices and provide support as needed (transportation to dining areas, setting up meals, offering seconds).
• Clean, sweep, mop, dispose of waste, and complete all scheduled cleaning duties.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Record meal totals, guest meals, food temperatures, etc.
