Job summary

Grand Village is seeking a part-time Cook for Grand Rapids, Minnesota, with an 11:30am-8pm shift and starting wage of $20.84-$21.52 per hour, depending on experience. You will prepare and serve meals, accommodate special diets, and ensure safety and sanitation in a busy nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
• Sanitation certification or equivalent.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary service to residents, families and guests, ensuring all feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service.
• Preps, prepares, cooks and serves meals to residents, families, guests and employees; operates and maintains kitchen equipment and reports shortages.
• Maintains proper portion control and uses leftovers efficiently; follows recipes and production guidelines.
• Maintains inventory, keeps a clean and sanitary work area, and collaborates with staff for events and special diets.
