Job summary

Harvard Protection Services in East Rutherford, NJ, seeks a Concierge to provide grade A customer service in a high-end office building. You will greet tenants and visitors, manage access control, answer inquiries and support daily operations while maintaining a strong security presence.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring entrances, logging incidents, and enforcing building policies. A HS diploma, valid security license, reliable transport, and professional appearance are required;

Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Security license eligibility within acceptable period.
• Reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to write routine correspondence including log entries and incident reports.
• Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the facility/building.
• Monitor environment for suspicious/unsafe activity.
• Familiarize with incoming/outgoing traffic and know customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.
• Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
• Answer phones professionally.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Enforce facility policies within role limits.
• Perform patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal.
