Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks a Mentor/Tutor to support high school PEOPLE participants at ACE sites in Milwaukee, in-person or virtually. You will help students build academic knowledge, cognitive skills, and study strategies while preparing for college. The position runs the full school year (Sept 28, 2026–May 7, 2027) with hours 3:30–6 PM, Monday–Wednesday, at Milwaukee Public High Schools.

The role pays $18.91/hour. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicates with instructional staff for content clarification when appropriate
• Monitors student performance and/or assists learners in academic environments
• Clarifies learning problems and assists with the development of study skills
• Schedules study sessions with learners and provides assistance understanding curriculum-based concepts and materials
