Job summary

Thorlabs in Newton, NJ is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC machines and inspect parts to drawing specifications. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are 3:45pm–12:15am, Monday through Friday, with shift differential and overtime available. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and 1–2 years of experience with CNC machines is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a similar position.
• CNC programming training.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC certification a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines in accordance with inch and metric drawings.
• Inspect machined components for dimensional accuracy per drawings.
• Operate manual mills, lathes, and secondary equipment as needed.
