RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled CNC machinist for 2nd shift in Carroll, IA. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machines to fabricate metal parts from blueprints and GD&T specifications.

You will perform inspections, maintain records, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience, HS diploma or GED, and certifications in core disciplines.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent; minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Certification in core discipline with 4–5 months of employment
• Certification on multiple programs labeled as moderate to difficult

Responsibilities

• Produces machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating CNC or manual machines
• Interprets blueprints and GD&T for operation and tolerance requirements
• Performs machining setups and adjustments
• Conducts inspections and maintains quality records
• Works with EHS and CI guidelines and may require overtime as needed
