Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a CNC Machinist for the Lathe on 2nd shift in Auburn, CA. Typical hours are Mon-Fri, 4:00pm-1:30am, with overtime possible. Sign-on bonuses up to 5k for relocation outside Bay Area and 1k for new hires are available.

You will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts and support aerospace/defense products. Qualified candidates have 2+ years of CNC lathe experience, familiarity with GD&T, and strong measurement skills using

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience machining with CNC lathes.
• Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations; GD&T familiarity.
• Understanding of cutting tool geometry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce machined parts.
• Maintain quality and safety standards and keep records.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace worn tools as needed.
• Measure finished parts with precision instruments to spec.
• Communicate shifts and document actions for continuity.
