Job summary

Good Samaritan in Howard Lake, MN is offering a Nursing Assistant Trainee program designed to develop caregivers who provide personal care under licensed supervision. The trainee role includes online and hands-on training with a pathway to CNA certification.

Once certified, you’ll work as a full-time CNA with an evening shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 64 hours per two-week pay period, and a wage start at $22.60 per hour for certified CNAs. Benefits are available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry eligibility where applicable.
• Dependent on facility, may require Sanford Category II Driver status with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and document care provided.
• Support clients with meals, hydration, and comfort needs.
• Follow location-specific infection prevention, safety, and privacy protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing team to ensure holistic, client-centered care.
