Job summary

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Wallingford, CT seeks a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant for the Evening shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm), 24 hours weekly with every other weekend/holiday rotation. The role supports RN staff across Ortho/Traumatic Brain Injury units in a rehabilitation-focused hospital.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPCT/CEMT/CMA/RMA or equivalent training, and CPR certification before hire; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• CNA, CPCT, CEMT, CMA or RMA or equivalent training program required.
• Patient care experience is preferred.
• CPR certification (AHA/ARC) required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Interact with diverse patient groups in a rehabilitation setting.
• Support a warm, collaborative, interdisciplinary care team.
• Develop relationships with patients throughout their stay (25–30 days).
