Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care (LTC). Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. The NA aids providers and nursing staff with procedures, documents interactions, and supports

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• CNA certification required within four months of date into the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and mobility tasks.
• Record vital signs, participate in meals and nutrition support, and assist with activities.
