Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to residents during scheduled shifts in long-term care, delivering resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

The NA aids providers, records vital signs, assists with transfers and meals, and participates in wellness programs while following infection control and PPE policies.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required and provided by facility.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to RN.
• Assist with transferring and mobility using proper techniques.
• Support infection control and PPE policies.
