Artesia Christian Home is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the evening shift to provide compassionate direct care to residents in Artesia, CA. Qualifications

• Must possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant license through the State of California.
• Must possess proficient written and oral communication skills in English.
• High school diploma and elderly care experience are highly desirable.
• Must be willing and able to use the nursing department’s electronic charting system.
• Must be in good physical and mental condition, capable of performing assigned tasks.
• Health screening with TB test or chest X-ray is required.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Complete assignments and documentation timely, completely, and accurately.
• Conduct resident rounds as assigned and report changes to charge nurse.
• Document incidents and care provided in nursing notes.
• Follow facility procedures for admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
• Respond promptly to call lights and ensure residents’ comfort and safety.
