Job summary

The Artesia Palms Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with the care plan and supervisor directions.

The role includes identifying residents, recording information, reporting changes, assisting with daily activities, maintaining confidentiality, and following facility policies to ensure a safe, warm, and responsive care environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments and meals as necessary.
• Record entries on flow sheets and charts in an informative, descriptive manner.
• Report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information including protected health information.
• Assist residents with daily functions and mobility as instructed.
• Prepare resident rooms and escort residents to their rooms.
• Assist with transfers, positioning and transporting residents as needed.
• Observe for pressure areas and skin breakdowns and report findings.
• Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
