Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a CNA to provide resident care in a skilled nursing facility setting under nursing supervision. The role includes daily ROM exercises, transfers, bathing, grooming, feeding, and assisting residents with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities include timely response to call lights, documenting care in line with CMS/State regulations, and contributing to department quality improvement.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a CNA.
• Continued education including: Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Safety and Emergency Procedures (including Heimlich Maneuver), SNF based CNA skills, Mental Health and Social Services of Residents, Personal Care Skills, Care of Cognitively Impaired Residents.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident care as assigned and per individual resident routine.
• Documents daily care according to Federal and State regulations and standards of care.
• Assists with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers, ambulation, toileting, and eating.
• Responds to call lights promptly and ensures resident needs are met.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and safe patient environment and participates in quality improvement activities.
