Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Nursing department. You will provide compassionate resident care, assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and record changes in residents’ conditions in electronic health records.

This full-time or PRN role operates in a clinical setting with shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional overnights.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Nebraska required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to lift and move residents and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Accurately document care provided and changes in residents’ conditions in electronic health records.
• Report changes or concerns to nursing staff or supervisor promptly.
• Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
