Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver patient care across units as needed. You will assist with routine tasks, monitor vitals, document care, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients and staff.

You will float to different units under RN direction, participate in improvement activities, and support onboarding of new partners with unit educators. CPR/BLS is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as assigned and per routine per scope.
• Answer call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Document care provided according to standards.
• Maintain clean work and patient environment.
• Floats to units based on patient care needs.
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities.
• Assist in training/new partners with unit educator.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormal values.
• Manage and report collection devices and catheters.
• Support safe patient handling with lifts and gait belts.
