Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic and specialty nursing care under licensed nurses in a correctional setting. Evening shifts with competitive hourly pay and a supportive team.

You will perform ADLs, monitor vitals, document data, and collaborate with health care professionals to ensure patient safety and confidentiality while upholding standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant training course is required.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to pass and maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position, if required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, in written and verbal form.
• Proficient with common software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse, including assistance with ADLs, vital signs, and accurate documentation.
• Maintains professionalism and prioritizes workflow to complete duties while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborates with health care team, participates in meetings and training, and notifies the licensed nurse of patient concerns.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing procedures and proper use and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervising nurse, including care in different units and orientation of new staff.
