Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to provide safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate resident care within our skilled nursing community.

In this role you will administer prescribed medications under supervision, assist with daily living activities, document care, and collaborate with licensed staff to promote resident safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Missouri-approved Certified Medication Technician (CMT) course.
• Active CMT certification in good standing, with annual updates as required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and intake/output as ordered.
• Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed and participate in transfers.
