Job summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will assist with activities, document care, and administer medications as delegated, while maintaining safety and compassionate service.

This part-time evening shift offers benefits and ongoing competency testing in line with state requirements. A CMA or CNA certification is required by state rules where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• State CMA/TMA/CNA certification as required by applicable state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Records outcomes related to care, medication, and vital signs.
• Documents and communicates changes to the charge nurse.
• Assists with activities of daily living and documentation of care.
