Job summary

Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, CA seeks a Clinical Supervisor to lead nursing teams in the evenings. You will coordinate patient care, supervise staff, and partner with the unit Director to ensure compliance and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a California RN license, BCLS/ACLS/PALS, and strong leadership experience. You’ll implement performance improvements, orient staff, and maintain safety standards in a 362-bed acute-care setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Registered Nurse license.
• Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation certificate within 30 days from date of hire.
• NIHSS certificate required within 90 days from date of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Violence in the Workplace prevention training within 90 days from date of hire.
• CCRN preferred for Intensive Care
• NRP required 90 days after hire and maintained
• Professional Certification within 2 years of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations.
• Prepare, conduct and/or oversee department orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
• Responsible for the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
• Assist the Department Director in daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
• Ensure efficient functions of the department.
• Perform direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice.
• Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
