Job summary

Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, CA, is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to support nursing department operations, collaborate with the unit Director and Manager, and help advance quality patient care within regulatory guidelines.

You will develop and implement department plans, supervise staff, oversee orientation and training, and communicate with staff, physicians and administration to ensure safe, efficient care during shifts.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• BCLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate required.
• NIHSS certification within 90 days from date of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Violence in the Workplace training within 90 days from date of hire.
• CCRN certification preferred for Intensive Care.
• NRP required 90 days after hire.
• Professional certification within 2 years of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative responsibilities for department service functions.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare, conduct and oversee department orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensure the quality of staff and functions during shifts; supervise and evaluate personnel.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within the scope of practice.
• Continuously assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
