Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• MLS II requires two years of experience or appropriate certification.
• MLS I requires no professional laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived/point of care to high complexity CLIA testing as appropriate to role.
• Investigates and resolves problems with equipment, results, specimens, and workflow.
• Performs quality control and proficiency testing.
• Prepares reagents and assists in standard/control materials.
• Monitors reagent inventory and maintains laboratory supplies.
• Reviews test results for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Reports results and consults with healthcare providers as needed.
• Participates in training of new employees and other learners.
