Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform waived/point of care, moderate, and high complexity CLIA testing as appropriate.
• Investigate and resolve problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow.
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, and monitor accuracy of testing.
• Prepare reagents and assist in preparation of standard and control materials.
• Maintain reagent inventory and laboratory supplies.
• Review test results for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Report results and consult with healthcare providers as needed.
• Participate in teams or special projects and training of staff.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Biological Science

Associate's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technology

ASCP MT/MLS or AMT MT/MLT certification

ASCP categorical certification in specialty area

MLT (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) certification
