Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, NC is seeking a Technologist to join our team. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 2:00pm-10:30pm.

You will determine specimen acceptability, perform procedures, monitor instrumentation, and ensure accurate results to support patient care. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, plus 1 year of clinical lab testing experience and ASCP or AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
