Black Beach Inn by GrandStay in Silver Bay, MN seeks an Evening Cleaner for the pool area. You will clean decks, chairs, tables, windows, and pool amenities, ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met.

Shifts are Sunday through Thursday, 6 PM–9 PM, 15–20 hours weekly. Prior janitorial or custodial experience and knowledge of cleaning chemicals are required; strong guest-service oriented approach is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean pool area including decks, chairs, tables, and windows to be spotless and sanitized
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and pool vacuum to maintain cleanliness
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely following safety procedures
• Vacuum the pool and maintain poolside amenities
• Ensure steam room, restrooms, hospitality room are clean and meet health standards
• Operate waterslide on guest request while ensuring safety
• Follow safety protocols during cleaning and report hazards to facilities management

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our pool area. This position is Sunday through Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM nightly. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of sanitation and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of the pool area Clean decks, lounge chairs, tables, windows, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and sanitized.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and other custodial tools to maintain cleanliness
• Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
• Vacuum the pool with submersible pool vacuum.
• Maintain the cleanliness of steam room, restrooms, hospitality room and poolside amenities to meet health and safety standards
• Operate the waterslide on Request of hotel guests.
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the facilities management team

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, preferably within commercial or recreational facilities
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely with proper understanding of chemical handling safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for guests using the pool area
• Prior experience with facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is highly desirable
