Job summary

Compass Group USA's Eurest division is seeking an Evening Chef Manager in Normal, IL to lead back and front of house operations, develop menus, oversee inventory, and manage labor and food costs. The role requires a strong culinary background, supervisory experience, and a focus on sanitation and high standards.

The position supports second-shift operations with a typical schedule from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Five years progressive culinary management experience.
• Strong leadership and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of budgets, labor costs and inventory controls.
• P&L and financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards.
• Manages purchasing and inventory controls.
• Develops menus and oversees sanitation standards.
• Leads coaching, training and development of team members.
• Supports second-shift operations (1:00 PM–10:00 PM) and related tasks.
