Job summary

You will collaborate with the nurse manager, overseeing staffing, rounds, admissions, discharges, and participate in quality improvement, training, and budget planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in related area; supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RN license recognized by the state.
• Certification in nursing specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a variety of patient care activities in a charge nurse capacity to ensure safe, high-quality care on the unit.
• Provides direct patient care as part of the role, maintaining clinical competencies.
• Manages staff allocation, scheduling, and patient assignments; coordinates rounds and admissions/discharges.
• Investigates and resolves patient care issues; ensures smooth transitions between shifts and departments.
• Performs staff development, mentoring, coaching, and orientation support for new hires.
• Participates in administrative and quality management activities to meet regulatory standards.
