Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a part-time Certified Phlebotomy Technician to perform skin puncture and venipuncture across age groups under supervision. You will handle data entry, clerical tasks, and courier-related duties while ensuring specimen integrity and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy training program or equivalent on-the-job training with documented competency.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current.
• Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Handle computer data entry, filing, telephone communication and clerical duties.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy techniques and use of equipment.
• Process specimens across multiple laboratory departments.
• Stock and order routine supplies and maintain storage areas.
