Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician for an evening shift in Grove City. The role supports pharmacists in providing timely medications, with duties including sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging, and inventory control.

Shift starts at 2:30pm and ends at 11:00pm; the position offers the opportunity for elevated compensation for sterile compounding trained technicians.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification: Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification; Active Ohio registration.
• Experience: Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Communication: Effective communication skills.
• Math: Aptitude in pharmaceutical mathematics.
• Career advancement: Desire to elevate pharmacy knowledge to the Certified Pharmacy Technician level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique per regulatory standards.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous meds) per regulatory standards.
• Dispense medications via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist in dispensing orders/prescriptions through the pharmacy inventory system.
• Assist in inventory control by processing daily orders, rotation, storage and expiration dating; escalate as needed.
• Assist with patient billing of medications and related units.
