The role supports pharmacists, maintains records, and delivers excellent patient and staff service. Responsibilities include sterile/non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medication preparation.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems including automated dispensing machines and inventory software.
• Attention to detail in medication preparation and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with patients, nurses, and staff.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounded medications using aseptic techniques.
• Conducts inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies.
• Maintains accurate records of dispensing, inventory transactions, and controlled substances.
• Provides customer service by addressing questions from patients and staff about medications and services.
