Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Certified Central Processing Technician for the Central Sterile Supply. The role involves cleaning, sterilizing and assembling instruments to support patient safety in a high-volume environment.

The position is full-time mid-shift (11 AM–7 PM) with weekends and occasional holidays, and requires a High School diploma and a CRCST or CBSPD certification, with CSPD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD is required or preferred.
• Prior CSPD experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manually cleaning and reprocessing scopes in a safe and cost-efficient manner under supervision.
• Perform cleaning, sterilization and assembly of equipment, supplies and instruments following procedures.
• Adhere to policies and maintain patient safety in a high-volume department.
• Shift is 11:00 AM–7:00 PM with rotating weekends and holidays.
