Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Supervisor for Central Sterile Services to lead staff and daily operations in the CSS department. The role covers decontamination, sterilization, assembly of case carts, and inventory management, with focus on compliance to procedures and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of CSS experience, CRCST certification, and the ability to train staff. Evening shift is 3pm-11pm, Mon-Fri, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Qualifications

• 3 years related CSS, sterilization, or central sterile processing experience.
• CRCST certification required (HSPA)
• HSD/GED required

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Central Sterile Services staff and daily operations.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storing and distributing instruments.
• Assemble and disassemble case carts and ensure compliance with sterilization procedures.
• Develop and deliver training for new staff and ongoing education.
