Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Evening Supervisor for Central Sterile Service. The role oversees decontamination, assembly, sterilization and storage of instruments, and coordinates with surgical teams for timely delivery.

The position requires 3+ years CSS experience, CRCST certification, and a strong focus on staff development and regulatory compliance. Evening shift, Mon-Fri, 3pm-11pm, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Qualifications

• 3 years related CSS, sterilization, or central sterile processing experience required.
• CRCST certification (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate staff and daily CSS operations.
• Assemble and disassemble case carts.
• Ensure compliance with sterilization techniques, policies and procedures.
• Function as a leader, preceptor and educator; develop training programs.
• Manage department inventory and equipment; collaborate with surgical teams for timely delivery of sterile instruments.
