Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Painter to perform general carpentry, cabinet-making, painting, and wall finishing to keep facilities safe, functional, and looking their best.

Work is performed in an office environment within Geisinger facilities. Hours are 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with a 40-hour work week and regular performance of time/materials records under supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred for advanced projects.
• Minimum 2 years related carpentry/painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs general carpentry and cabinet-making in support of alterations and new construction.
• Installs drywall, floors, ceilings, and wall coverings.
• Applies paints and finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Maintains tools and equipment in safe, operable condition.
• Reports problems to supervisor and supports project lead as needed.
