Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking a Carpenter to provide skilled general carpentry, cabinet-making, painting, and wall finishing services. The role supports alterations and new construction at the hospital facilities, with a rotating shift to meet staffing needs.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of related experience and a High School Diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred). A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs general carpentry and cabinet-making in support of alterations and new construction.
• Installs drywall, floor and ceiling systems.
• Applies paints, stains, and varnishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Pastes, applies, trims, and smooths wall coverings and materials.
• Maintains all tools and equipment in safe and operable condition.
• Reports problems to supervisor and maintains daily records of time and materials.
