Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC in Spokane, WA is hiring a Caregiver for Avamere at South Hill. This full-time evening-shift role runs Monday through Thursday with a wage of $23–$25 hourly, DOE.

You will support residents with ADLs, provide emotional support, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment. Duties include mobility assistance, meal setup, housekeeping, health monitoring, and reporting concerns.

Qualifications

• Experience as Caregiver in memory care or assisted living preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification during employment required.
• Food handler's card required.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Personal hygiene, mobility, meal preparation, and removing trays.
• Provide Emotional Support and Companionship: empathy, listening, encouragement, and social engagement.
• Housekeeping: maintain clean, safe environment including laundry and cleaning.
• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: observe health changes and report concerns; monitor vital signs.
• Answer calls for assistance timely; maintain confidentiality and a safe work environment.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
