Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Sewell, NJ, is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich the lives of residents, provide hands-on care, administer medications, and support daily living in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating).
• Administer and observe medications and treatments, document accurately, report concerns and refusals.
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary environment in resident rooms and spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
