Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a full-time Caregiver for a residential program in Iowa. The role includes evening shifts and requires a valid driver’s license for 1 year, a clean driving record, and a personal vehicle with insurance.

No experience required; paid training provided. You will support individuals in achieving personal goals, build trusting relationships, assist with daily living activities, and promote community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for at least 1 year without restrictions.
• A clean driving record.
• Personal Vehicle for on the job use with valid insurance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Successful clearance of background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in reaching personal and developmental goals, from budgeting and nutrition to community activities and recreation.
• Build strong, trusting relationships as a mentor, advocate, and friend.
• Take initiative every day in a role where your ideas and dedication are valued.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, personal care, and outings.
• Promote inclusion by helping individuals engage with their communities and enjoy their favorite events.
