Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is seeking a Direct Care Professional (Onsite, Full-time, Day Shift) in Iowa. No experience required; we provide paid training and starting pay is $15.25 per hour. A valid driver’s license for 1 year is required to support transportation needs.

You'll work with individuals to achieve personal goals, build trusting relationships, and promote independence through daily living activities and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
• Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• A clean driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Successful clearance of background checks.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals reach personal and developmental goals through activities, budgeting, nutrition, and recreation.
• Build trusting relationships as mentor, advocate and friend.
• Take initiative daily and contribute ideas in a supportive team.
• Assist with daily living: meals, meds, personal care, and outings.
• Promote community inclusion and participation in events.
