Job summary

Longevity Senior Living in Granite City, IL is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide person-centered assistance with Activities of Daily Living for residents. You will collaborate with nursing and engagement teams and document care in the electronic record.

This role supports dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life, with duties including ADL tasks, reporting observations, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-specific credential (e.g., STNA/CNA/HHA) preferred or required per state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid preferred; willingness to obtain within 30–60 days if required.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and customer-service skills; able to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in ADL tasks as directed, including hygiene, mobility, and transfers.
• Provides resident comfort, answers call lights, and reports observations to nursing staff.
• Maintains resident dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Documents actions in electronic records and logs.
• Participates in activities with the engagement staff.
• Maintains safety standards and adheres to reporting requirements.
• Updates knowledge through education opportunities and certifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Hours 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
