Job summary

The Arbor at Berkeley is seeking skilled and compassionate Caregivers to serve their residents. Currently, part-time SWING shift opportunities (2:00 pm-10:00 pm) with an option to move to full-time within 90 days.

A qualified candidate can expect a wage of $21.00-22.00/hour, plus full-time benefits. The ideal candidate is attentive, patient, professional, and committed to delivering excellent care and customer service to seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior caregiving experience in senior living or healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to document clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral care, and hygiene.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation throughout the community.
• Support residents during meals, including set-up, encouragement, and after-meal assistance.
• Observe residents closely and promptly report changes in condition, incidents, injuries, or concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
• Answer call lights and check on residents regularly to ensure needs are being met.
• Maintain accurate documentation, flow sheets, and care-related records as assigned.
• Help prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Support a clean, calm, respectful, and positive living environment for residents.
• Follow community policies related to infection control, safety, confidentiality, resident rights, and abuse reporting.
• Use only the equipment and care techniques you have been trained and authorized to perform.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers and other departments to provide excellent resident care and service.
