Job summary

The Arbor at Berkeley is seeking caring Caregivers for part-time DAY shifts (6:00 am-2:00 pm) with a path to full-time within 90 days. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, mobility, dining, and comfort, while supporting a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior caregiving experience in senior living or healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction.
• Ability to document clearly and accurately.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility, transfers, repositioning, and transportation.
• Help with meals: set-up, encouragement, and after-meal assistance.
• Observe changes in condition and report promptly to nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain accurate documentation and care-related records.
• Prepare rooms for new residents and assist with admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Maintain a clean, calm, respectful living environment.
• Follow infection control and safety policies.
• Use only trained and authorized techniques.
• Collaborate with coworkers to provide excellent resident care and service.
