Job summary

FirstLight Home Care of Valparaiso is seeking compassionate Caregivers/HHA to provide in-home support for seniors and adults. You’ll work part-time or full-time with a flexible schedule, delivering personal care, companionship, and safety in clients’ homes. You’ll collaborate with families, report changes to supervisors, and help clients maintain independence and dignity in a comfortable setting. Training and a supportive team environment are emphasized.

Role Overview:

As a Caregiver / HHA at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and reliable care to seniors and adults in need. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients and their families to ensure comfort, dignity, and safety within their homes. Whether you work part-time or full-time, you’ll have a flexible schedule to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist seniors with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to help enhance the quality of life for clients.
3. Support seniors in daily activities and tasks, promoting independence and safety.
4. Communicate effectively with clients and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervisory staff.
5. Encourage and engage clients in social and recreational activities to improve their well-being.

Qualifications:

Employment Type & Availability:

This position offers both Part-Time and Full-Time options and requires availability throughout the week, including weekends.
