Job summary

FirstLight Home Care is hiring a caregiver to provide compassionate, client-centered support in home settings. You will offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and help with meals and transportation as part of a respectful care team.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and a commitment to improving clients’ quality of life, with opportunities for meaningful, rewarding work in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience (preferred).
• A passion for caregiving and helping others.
• Commitment to providing quality care and being present.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willing to travel in Case, Lincoln and surrounding counties.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Assist with bathing and grooming.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Shop, run errands, and provide transportation.
