Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff and the care team in inpatient Veterans care under supervision.
• Take, record, and report vital signs accurately.
• Assist with total ADL care including bowel/bladder management, feeding, and repositioning.
• Assist with hoyer lift transfers and wheelchair usage; provide safe environments and hourly rounds.
• Respond to life-threatening emergencies and alert licensed personnel.
• Perform EKGs and document ADL care.
• Obtain and label specimens for testing; perform Blood Glucose testing.
• Clean and disinfect rooms and medical equipment after patient use.
