Job summary

The nurse will perform comprehensive cardiovascular inpatient care with patient assessment, planning, and evaluation. Responsibilities include coordinating care, following ANA standards, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Field of Study: Nursing.
• Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse licensed in Iowa; Illinois within 1 year.
• Special Training: Basic Life Support; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Interpersonal Skills: Interaction with varied people; moderate difficulty; teamwork.
• Working Conditions: Exposure to adverse environments; safety precautions; up to 70% of day.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs cardiovascular inpatient nursing care using assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates care with health system staff and external providers.
• May serve as group leader or informal lead; supports human resources discussions as needed.
