Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety components.

The role focuses on ensuring operations meet safety and performance standards with an afternoon/evening schedule (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, M-F) and shift differential. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, manage energy use, and mentor junior staff while adhering to CBRE policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade diploma; 4–5 years related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; state/local licenses may be required.
• Supervisory/shift-management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure facility systems meet applicable standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain energy management and preventive maintenance programs.
• Lead and coach team members; share knowledge across disciplines.
• Follow CBRE policies and build safe workplace.
