Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide patient care in the Emergency Care Center. You will manage medication administration, vital signs, and ADLs while awaiting PES consultation and bed placement. Work closely with ECC staff, PES, and inpatient units.

The role requires a Massachusetts nursing license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within six months. Prior emergency or psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and MA RN license.
• BLS for health care providers required at hire or orientation.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency with multiple EHR systems and accurate documentation.
• Serves as resource to Department Directors and educators.
• Communicates messages accurately to staff and patients.
• Supports new initiatives and ensures tasks meet deadlines.
• Assists in data collection to support education of staff and patients.
• Maintains a calm, educational environment for learning.
